Vampire Weekend, "Ya Hey"

I admit that I am a bit surprised to be excited for the new Vampire Weekend that comes out next week. I had a feeling that back in 2008, I would soon grow tired of this band. They proved me wrong. I recently listened to both the debut and the follow-up, Contra. Bravo, boys. Your songs have held up despite their ubiquitous lives.

This video, for the track "Ya Hey," from the upcoming new album is pure beauty. Slow motion long-shots of people, some in togas,  releasing champagne into the New York City skyline forms a perfect majestic match for the whimsical vibe of the song.
